Terms of service.

These are the rules for using slaterank.ai, getting a free audit, and, if you sign up, the service itself. Your signed client agreement adds detail; where they differ, the signed agreement wins.

Using the site

slaterank.ai is run by SlateRank (“we,” “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

You may read, link to, and share what’s here. You may not scrape the site, copy the design, or use our name or mark to suggest we endorse something we don’t. Everything on the site, including the text, illustrations, and the Strata mark, belongs to SlateRank.

The free audit

The audit is free, with no card and no obligation. You give us a website or business name; we check public information about your site, your search rankings, and what AI assistants say, and send you a graded report.

  • You confirm you own the business or have permission to request the audit for it.
  • The report is a snapshot of public data at the time we ran it. Rankings and AI answers change daily.
  • The report is ours to produce and yours to keep. You can share it. We may use anonymized, aggregated findings across many audits in our research; we won’t name your business without asking.
  • We’ll send the report and, if you haven’t opened it, one follow-up. That’s it. You can ask us to delete your request at any time.

The service

If you sign a client agreement, we build or rebuild your website on our engine, publish new pages every week for the services and towns you serve, check where you show up on Google and in AI assistants every day, and send you a report every month. The two plans, Rebuild and Redesign, are described on the pricing page. Everything listed there is included in both.

We write in your voice and only about services you actually offer, in towns you actually serve, based on what you tell us at onboarding. We won’t publish guarantees, superlatives, or credentials you haven’t given us.

Term, billing, and cancellation

  • Term. Twelve months from your launch date, then month to month unless either of us gives 30 days’ notice.
  • Price. Rebuild is $800 a month. Redesign is $1,000 a month. Multi-location adds $500 a month per additional location. No setup fee, no per-lead fee. Prices are fixed for the term.
  • Billing. Monthly, in advance, by card or ACH on the same date each month. Invoices unpaid after 10 days pause publishing; after 30 days we may suspend the site until the account is current.
  • Cancellation inside the term. Set out in your client agreement. Our standard: none before month six; from month seven, at 50% of the remaining term.
  • Refunds. We don’t refund months already delivered. If we’ve failed to deliver something we committed to, tell us and we’ll make it right or credit the month.
Cancellation and refund terms are proposed and will be finalized in the client agreement before the first signing.

Approval and publishing

Nothing goes live without your approval. We send you a batch of pages; you approve, ask for a change, or reject, from your phone. A page you approve is a page you’ve read and stand behind. If you don’t respond, the batch waits. It doesn’t publish.

You can ask us to change or remove any page at any time. Corrections to facts are made within one business day. If you go three batches without responding, we’ll call to check in.

Who owns what

  • Yours. Your domain, your photos, your business information, and every page we publish for you, including the words. If you leave, you take all of it, and we’ll hand over the files and point the domain wherever you say.
  • Ours. The engine, the templates, the software, the audit method, the checks, and the report format. You get the output; you don’t get a license to the machine.
  • Access. You grant us access to your domain registrar, Google Business Profile, and any existing site as needed to do the work. We use it for that and nothing else.

Your responsibilities

  • Tell us the truth about your services, service area, licenses, and insurance. We publish what you tell us, and you’re responsible for it being accurate.
  • Hold the licenses your state requires for the work we describe.
  • Review batches within a reasonable time. Ten minutes a week is what we ask.
  • Don’t ask us to publish claims about competitors, guarantees you can’t keep, or content that would break the law or a platform’s rules. We’ll decline.

What we don’t promise

We don’t guarantee a ranking, a number of leads, or that any AI assistant will name you. We control the pages; Google and the AI companies control the results. What we promise is the work: the site, the pages every week, the daily checks, the monthly report, and honest numbers about what moved.

The site and service are provided as described, and otherwise “as is.” We disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the site or the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or lost leads. Nothing here limits liability for our fraud or gross negligence, or anything the law says can’t be limited.

General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Broward County, Florida. Before either of us files, we’ll try 30 days of good-faith talking first.
  • If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do; significant changes are noted on this page for 30 days. For active clients, your signed agreement controls.
  • Notices to us go to hello@slaterank.ai. Notices to you go to the email on your account.
